Before a soldier can go on tour in Northern Ireland he needs to complete 4 month specialised training course. This course covers policing, patrolling, close quarter combat, politics, first-aid, more fitness and then some more fitness just make sure. He with all the other members of his regiment are then tested by command to see if they can cope with the unique difficulties faced by soldiers on tour in Northern Ireland.
