This is a portfolio of a series of photos I took whilst attached to a British army regiment on an emergency tour of Belfast, N. Ireland back in 1986-87. These are digital scans of the original B&W negatives.

Not really my most favorite photographic assignments; hardwork, lots of planning and then organising groups of people that just really want to get down to the celebrations if we are being honest. Having said all that, there are great moments to be caught by the camera at weddings, you just have to organise them.

I am very much a people watcher. Street photography is therefore perfect for me to catch Humans going about their ordinary day and catching, in that split second, what is on there minds; what are their worries, their past, their hopes and fears. A candid look at the remarkable life we amazing and wounderful beings are.

There's nothing more relaxing than wandering through the countryside trying to find that something different in the beauty around us and making it even more so. Even better is when the locals don't recognize a view they see each day. The photo on the left was taken from my fathers front room; "that nice son, where did you take that". I rest my case

This is a collection of wedding, parties and just general photos with people in them. I have to admit that weddings are not my most favorite gig but, some times you get the character of the couple and if you get in character with them it can be fun.
