Northern Ireland 1986-87

Here is a colection of photographs I took whilst serving in Belfast, N.Ireland between 1986 and 87

Officers as young as 22-23 were often in charge of platoons, about 35 men and were often just out of basic training themselves. They were often guided by their platoon Sergeants had as was often the case, had a number of N.I tours under their belts. Here a young second lieutenant is radioing his orders to the his platoon.
