Northern Ireland 1986-87

Here is a colection of photographs I took whilst serving in Belfast, N.Ireland between 1986 and 87

This is a young soldier of the Royal Anglican Regt, The Pompadours giving point cover as his brick commander liases with the mobile patrol in the APV. The SLR's (rifle) are never completely slung, instead the sling is attached at the butt end only and then attached to the soldiers wrist. This is to stop anyone grabbing the rifle and turning it on the soldier.
